Sweep them off their feet!
“La La Land”emerged as the big winner at the Academy Awards on Feb. 26, with the musical sweeping up six of the 14 Oscars nominated. Emma Stone took Best Actress, while Damien Chazelle became the youngest filmmaker to win the director's award at 32. The event was not without drama as“La La Land”was mistakenly named winner of the Best Picture award. Thedrama “Moonlight”was later awarded the top Oscar.

アカデミー賞授賞式が2月26日に行われ、前評判の高かったミュージカル映画「ラ・ラ・ランド」がノミネートされた14部門中6部門で受賞しました。主役をつとめたエマ・ストーンさんに主演女優賞が贈られたほか、デイミアン・チャゼル監督(32)は史上最年少で監督賞を受けました。式典では、最優秀作品賞が誤って「ラ・ラ・ランド」と発表されるハプングも。製作者や俳優たちが舞台に集まったあと、社会派ドラマの「ムーンライト」と訂正されました。
