She has been active in government since 2007. In 2009, she was elected in the first district of Thessaloniki. During her term, Kaili has served on multiple committees, such as Cultural and Educational Affairs, Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs, and Special Permanent Committee of Greeks Abroad.
